Sheet Metal Local 1 JATF
We are the apprenticeship school for SMART Local 1.
The Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program is committed to ensuring a dependable source of skilled, versatile Sheet Metal Workers to it’s cooperating Employers. It is further dedicated to providing committed men and women the basis for resources and training to stay current in the everchanging building industry.
We teach residential sheet metal work that includes new construction, replacements, roofing, and service.
We teach commercial sheet metal work that includes the design, manufacturing, and installation of HVAC ductwork and components, Architectural sheet metal, Welding, and Air Flow concepts.
We teach service on HVAC components, refrigerators, freezers, in floor heat, and boiler systems.
